We received our award in the Teleinfo Competition for the Best IT-Enabled Companies and Institutions in Poland on 8 November at the Victoria Hotel in Warsaw. The jury assessed over 240 companies across 9 categories, awarding a total of 9 ‘Laureate 2005’ titles and 20 honourable mentions.
“It is impossible to manage a company today without a modern IT system,” says Roman Przybył, Chairman of the Management Board. “IT occupies a special place in Elektromontaż Poznań’s business strategy, and its tasks are becoming increasingly complex.” That is why I was truly delighted to receive the award and congratulated Ms Magdalena Mizer, head of our IT department. Without false modesty – we have every reason to be pleased!
Out of 28 entries in the “Construction, Wood and Furniture Industry” category, the 2005 winner was Fabryki Mebli Forte S.A., whilst honourable mentions – apart from us – were awarded to Effector S.A. (manufacturer of gutter flashings and finishing strips) and Górażdże Cement S.A. (manufacturer of cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates).
Companies representing all sectors of the economy took part in the competition. Contenders included such large and distinguished companies as, amongst others, PKN Orlen, KGHM Polska Miedź, Statoil Polska, Kreisel Technika Budowlana, Philips Lighting Poland, ABB, Polkomtel, Telekomunikacja Polska, Kodak Polska, Bank Zachodni WBK, Budimex, the National Atomic Energy Agency and many others.
