The Gdańsk campus is Intel’s second-largest research and development centre in the world (after the US). The newly constructed sixth building on the campus will be named IGK6. According to the developer, its laboratories will host projects relating to, amongst other things, artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous vehicles and data storage security.
Employees of the new office will also have access to 900 parking spaces, including 40 electric vehicle charging points. IGK6 will be a modern building with numerous amenities, such as a gym, a restaurant (seating 500 people at a time), which can also serve as a large conference hall, a café, a spa (hairdresser, massage, beautician), a doctor’s surgery, a games room, a music room, a prayer room, a grocery shop, training rooms, quiet work rooms and more.
The planned completion date for the five-storey office building, with a total area of 27,400 m², is mid-2023.
The main contractor for the project is HOCHTIEF, on whose behalf Elektromontaż Poznań will carry out all the high-voltage electrical work associated with the expansion of the Gdańsk campus.
